HBCU Aging Ambassadors Program

HBCU Aging Ambassadors Program

The HBCU Aging Ambassadors Program empowers and advances scholars interested in researching aging Black Americans. Over a 12-month period, the program will provide 10 ambassadors with various benefits, including networking opportunities with researchers,
practitioners, policymakers, and representatives from community organizations.

Also, it will provide them with a platform for professional development and cohort building, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for the ambassadors to thrive in their research endeavors. Additionally, the program provides travel support to the ambassadors to attend the annual Gerontological Society of America conference, enhancing their exposure to cutting-edge research and facilitating knowledge exchange within the broader scientific community.

Through these initiatives, the HBCU Aging Ambassadors Program aims to cultivate a dynamic and inclusive space for advancing research on aging Black communities.

Due date for 2024 application is May 31, 2024.
